The meaning of Love and happiness…

Merv and Retta 2008

The most sincere and truthful words are those spared from the heart.  With that, I’m a witness to these two beautiful people coming together to form a union more tighter than a cover on a jar of pickles.  They come so far and worked so hard and tediously on their relationship that there really was no other outcome to something so beautiful and so important.

I’m happy and Proud of what they have done for each other and with each other.  With a lifetime in front of them, I pray that God keeps them together, Close and Forever.  Watch over them and protect them as the share their lives with each other and put aside all who tries to interferr.  Welcome the new Mr. and Mrs. Freeman.

Oh boy! I want it!

December 4th, 2007

If there’s every a moment in your life that capture your every attention, its a moment like this.  As you all may know, I’m in the market to find a car to fit into the family’s need and my  sick obsession of gadets and luxury.  Well here it is:

The BMW CS concept

The BMW CS Concept, production model to be release in 2010.  That means I have 2-3 years to save up for this sweet, sweet treat.  Gotta really get my budget going to meet my needs.  Maybe I’ll cancel the wedding.  Oh no, just kidding!  Really Jo’(if you’re reading this post) I was kidding.  But folks look at the ass of this beauty.

BMX CS backshot

Oh man what an ass! I mean the car, that is.  The CS seems to come pack with all the amendities and much more.  The cockpit along is a marvel to behold.  BMW has really gone the extra mile to produce a very competitive machine.

BMW CS Interior

Now, If I’m not mistaken the CS will morst likly replace the LS.  And if thats the case you’ll probably be looking at $100k car sitting in my driveway.  I’m not even mad at you if you see otherwise, you know what I say all the time.  Don’t hate, Donate.

NO, NO, NO. No means No!

November 14th, 2007

She struggled violently as he tried to subdue her. kicking and screaming, scratching and tearing, yelling at the top of her lungs.  “NOooooooo, Nooooooo”.  Despite her bold resisitance, he persisted.  Forcing his weight on her fragile body to have his way with her.

I said NO

What I just described was an event of a RAPE.  This woman was forced to do something she did not want to do and despite her resisitance the man seem to persist to his own accord.  Let me make this clear that if someone tells you No, it means No.  You shouldn’t have any misunderstanding of the word at all, even dogs know what no means.

Being said that, I was brutally raped by a Verizon sales rep, when I repeatly said “no”, “No thank you”, “Not interested” on a number of occasions durng a phone interveiw being conducted to see if I was interested in becoming a Verizon customer.  This woman would not take No for an answer.  She insisted upon pestering me with free offers that would expired into monthly charges.

“But I said NO.  Whats the problem?”  I asked furiously.  “No means NO”.  She hesitated then insisted that I take a free Razor and she’ll call it quits.  “NOOOO” I screamed and I hanged up.

I try my best to be nice and respectable about telemarketers but why should I be so nice when they constantly try to rape me.  If I say no, Thats exactly what I mean.  Come on.  Have any of you gotten this threatment from a telemarketer?

Another Lost, another friend…

Junior on the far left

We’ve lost another friend of ours to a Motorcycle Crash on Sunday night.  Junior, who is the first from the left, lost his endless struggle to become a better man, a better father, a better son, a better husband, and last but not least, a better rider.

Junior was all talk.  A brother that will never let you take a corner by yourself.  All he ever wanted to do was ride.  He’ll call me up a thousand times to ride in a given hour.  He was always into his game, into his love, into his passion.

Sorry to say that on that beautiful Sunday night, we all found out that despite our passion for a good ride, death always cathes up to us when we least expect it.  In all aspects of it all, its never fair, and it will never feel right, never.

There will be a Candle light Visual for him tonight at DRA’s clubhouse.  Please keep posted for more info as they come in.

Update 7/25/2007

Many Clubs came out last night to show their respect to Junior’s Club and his Family.  Supreme Ryderz was on the scence and more photos can be found on their site at www.supremeryderz.com  Please check it out.

How Interesting!

June 13th, 2007

I found this to be a very disturbing article.  A woman was jailed for a testicle attack in England.  Check out the article at http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/merseyside/4253849.stm.

Remembering Patty Cruz

June 3rd, 2007

Its a combination of pleasure and pain when this subject comes to mind.  Patty was a dear heart, the vision of a blessed soul and a loving and caring individual.  It was and still is a tragic and most disturbing lost to our lives as we know it.  She has changed so much in this life of mine thats its not even funny.  So out of 365 days of the year, we take the time out to honor her name to a good cause.

Ali @ Patty's Grave

We take the time to sit back and remember the joy you’ve brought to our lives and we thank God for giving us our time thus far.  You’ll always be missed but never forgotten.

June 3rd, Nasty Patty’s Run

May 13th, 2007

This was one of my closest friends in a motorcycle Club I use to be a part of, Da Rock Allstars. Her name was Patty Cruz aka Nasty Patty.

Patty had this dream of calling all her brothers and sistas together for a benefit ride for sickle cell awarness on June 5th, 2005. On June 2nd 2005, Patty was involved in a motorcycle accident that unfold no more than 20 feet in front of me.

She lost her life that day and never got to see her dream come through.
As a friend, I made a promise, (along with many others) to undertake her dream and make sure that its a successful annual event.
And so its another year and the time is near, and I would love to give a opportunity to my family,  and urge you guys and gals to come out and give some support to a very worthy cause.

1st speeding Ticket in 3 years

May 7th, 2007

The one time I know for a fact is that all good things does come to an end.  Its predominatly not our intutition to mess up a good thing but eventually it happens.

East bound on the Southern State Parkway heading home from work, I noticed behind me a White Chevy Tahoe, with 24 inch chrome rims, switching lanes like it was Mario Andretti driving.  All lanes was block and the best go-through lane was the far left lane, my lane.  So I decided to move over and let this guy pass, a habit of mine that has kept me out of trouble so far.

The next available space I saw, which was the middle lane, I switched.  And to my surprise the Tahoe changed lanes also, right behind me putting his super whites HID in my back seat.  This Guy was too close for comfort.  I was thinking “whats this guy’s problem?”  So I saw another opening to get out of his way, and decided to take it.  As I took the right lane, he took the left, and sped off like a surprise cockroach when you turn the lights on.  Thats great, He’s gone.  But why is there flashing lights on behind me.  Son of a Bitch!

Of course I was in the G35 Coupe and to every living Cop, thats a race car like no other.  The Cop came over and requested the documnets as usual.  Told me that that I was pushing 90mph in a 55mph zone.  “How did you Guess that I asked?”  “My Radar” he quickly answered.  So I look over to my Radar detector and made sure that the shit was on because if it wasn’t, I would understand.  But it was on and there was no warning of any radar trap. He saw my face.

After about 4 minutes in his swad car checking me out, he decided to to return and let me have it.  “There no reason why you should be going 90mph on the Southern State Parkway.  There’s been 27 fatalities on the Parkway in the last 3 months and we’re looking to cut that crap out”  he said sternly.  I said “thank you Officer and have a nice day” before he had a chance to give me back my documents.  He got the picture.  He handed me my docs and a ticket, for 75mph in a 55mph, which is more than understandable.

Chevy Tahoe

The whole experience left a very bad taste about Chevy Tahoes and blind sided state Troopers.  I know, its a lot of cars on the road but the innocent drivers thats trying to get out of the way of mad drivers should not be penalized.  Go get those reckless assholes that thinks the size of their trucks are excuses for people to get out of their way.  Enough said.

How times have changed!

April 18th, 2007

Almost 2 decades ago, anyone could have told you that these kids had the major components to move ahead and become successful.  I didn’t share that train of thought.  Being foreign to the lifestyle of New York City was our major setback.

Back in 1986 when the movment of hip hop was now surfacing and an evolutionary change to the United States of America was in the making, there we stood.  Four brothers and sisters, not knowing what the future held but determine and willing to make it there.

Michael, Mervin, Melissa, and Melba  Merv and I looked distracted but comfortable that whatever we were looking at is pleasing to the eye.  Melissa is the one always focused and smiling while Melba swears to the a 2 feet miget kicking at her ankles.  To this day I don’t know what she was looking for.  But this is the image back in 1987 when we started our schooling.  Public schools were always available but my parents felt it best for a Private instuition with maximum focus on education.

Family

Nevertheless, It was a blessing that 20 years later I could stand and pose in a picture with my Brother, Merv.  A man that I’m very proud of and even though I’m older than he is, I’ve always looked up to him.  He has transcended into a man thats modest in his undertakings and I’m so proud to call him, Bro.  My Sisters, Melissa and Melba, who has grown up to be lovely and caring individuals.  They have always taken care of their big brother and have never crossed the line or disrespected me, at least thats what I know.  I am happy that they have journeied so far, undertaking life’s challenges and obstacles, and pushing forward.  I wouldn’t want anyone else to call sisters.

I really want to thank God for giving us the opportunity to live life.  Life that he has set forth.  Its not a gift that will be overlooked.  Over the past few days we have come across several violent events in the educational departments in the USA.  The latest being the slaying of 33 students and faculty at Virgina Tech.  Those people woke up that particular morning like any other, but never returned to their beds that night.  And In our persuits to build that perfect exsistance, we sometimes get that wake up call.  I can’t help but think that one of those students could have been me.  But God rest their souls.

And to my Siblings and our chase of the perfect lifestyle, be safe and be well.  As you already know, My family comes first, like everyone else piorities, and I love you guys to death.  Continue to grow and be the beautiful people we are ordained to be.

The Passing of Felicia Jones; Grandma

April 3rd, 2007

Supreme RyderzFREE

For the past decade and so, My grandmother was relocated to Florida for extar care and attention due to her severe condition of Alzheimers.  Alzheimer’s (AHLZ-high-merz) disease is a progressive brain disorder that gradually destroys a person’s memory and ability to learn, reason, make judgments, communicate and carry out daily activities. As Alzheimer’s progresses, individuals may also experience changes in personality and behavior, such as anxiety, suspiciousness or agitation, as well as delusions or hallucinations.

Even though this condition bother her extremely she still found the attitude to be……, well……. I guess, my grandmother, anytime I visited her in Florida.  She wouldn’t remember me or even know that I’m her grandson, but she still smiled and carry on like everything is fine.

From since I can remember, she always greeted us with open arms, a warm smile and a giving heart, even when it was forbidden for her.  She was the best Grandmother a young man could find and she will be missed.

Until we meet again, Aun’ Phil.  Prepare that place for me at your table like you’ve always done.  Love you GrandMa.
