It was a weekend that was full of hurt and pain, but the invite that was set a few weeks back from our close friends, Joel and Marggie (Blade and Sassy), left a feeling quite different. And it was so needed. After the burial of a brother, Blade and Sassy’s wedding reception was just what was needed. At first I asked how could they hold a smile when they went through so much within the past week, but they needed a change in mood like we all did.

Held at a cozy, very intimate spot called Leonardo Davinci Lodge, they setting for the night was exactly what the family needed. Close friends and family came to celebrate what all thought was already a road that Blade and Sassy took a long time ago. Blade in his all white suit looking like a Don in the making and Sassy looking so beautiful and classy, made the night a beauitful and well remembered event. Vacation 2008; Orlando

From Our Travels

It wasn’t that much different from a regular day’s routine. Got up at 6am, rush through getting showered, dressed, and out the door. The Itineray was simple and still complex when you really look at it. We would leave out of Laguardia and jump to Cleveland’s main Hub in the Northeast for Continental. Then Jump from Cleveland to Orlando to start our vacation. I’m more than ready and willing to push on but the hestation look on Jo’s face could tell a story all on its own.

After convincing her that we’ll be all right and well on our way for this trip, we took flight, or should I say flights to our main and planned destination, Orlando. See, we had to choose Florida for the vacation. It was the spot that Jo’s addiction to sun light and sandy beaches would make any addict feel like they’ve got their just worth. It was also where, Supreme Ryderz, will be hosting an event that they call their very first. So Off to Orlando we go and with an Itineray to follow that will make me very upset if its not met.

Getting to Orlando was not as bad as we thought. No delays and no problems. We arrived a little after 4pm and Budget hooked me up with a 2009 Mitubiushi Eclipse with only 4 miles on it. They rep stated that we would be the first to actually drive the car, but after careful review, I think he was just pulling my leg. Anywhich way, We’re mobile and ready to go. 

On our very first day, We met up with some close friends to cruise the streets of Ole Town and get our selves into a little trouble. Bikes, Go-karts, and a dissappointed shooter later, we emerged settled, tired, and worned. Back to the Hotel which was literrally seconds away from International Drive, a place which still cannot compare to Broadway in NYC but it tries.

The next day we took a 60 mile hike to Jo’s Grandma in Lake Whales. The trip was sweet. Old faces and friends that tends to make your day as you sit down and share pass moments. I was given a new name, Hector. Thanks to Will, Jo’s Uncle in law. But thats forgiven. The kids and Gradma was great. Can’t wait to see em again.After the trip to grandma’s, Cocoa Beach was next, with Jo baring little to no clothing. No complaints from me, I was as happy as a pig in shit. Under going all this climate shift, my body was not accepting to it, especially with my 30 year old bench mark period being put aside last month. The beach was different from the usually crusty syringed fill waters of New York Beaches. We Offically labeled it the beach of all beaches. So Cocoa is now the adopted destination of Jojo and Free.

On Sunday We put aside our vacation for a couble of hours and got to work at the Supreme Ryderz Offical club event. It was an experience we would not miss for the world. On Monday we relaxed in the pool provided to us by the Comfort Inn of Orlando. It was fun despite a small head cold and a few drizzles. But nevertheless I used it to do dsome laps. On Tuesday we flew back to NYC. With no delays, but early departure out of Orlando, we headed to Cleveland to jump back to NY. Arriving at Cleveland was not as bad as we thought, with only a 1 hour delay on our flight because of storms in NYC. But the trip was pleasant, all in all. Every year, we try and take each other out to a new place. Somewhere we’ve not gone before. This year our new found spots for unlimited fun is Cocoa Beach. We found no trash on the white sands of CB and would like to give a thumbs up on this sunspot of Florida. For more Pics
