50 shots?

While most of NY is in a very much anticipated uproar over the last incident including the NYPD and three unarmed men, I cannot feel more disappointed in the who we call our Leaders and what we call society.  We have not learned much from previous actions taken on by our so call Leaders.  I, for one, fail to recognize this.  One may figure that a mistake is a mistake and thus, efforts are being put forth for it not to happen again, but lo and behold, we’re right back to the drawing board.

pcshield.jpgI may not have the correct approach on this issue, like many others, but thats because of the lack of resources and the vauge and negligent accounts floating around.  What is known is that a young man, Sean Bell, is dead.  His two other friends, Hospitalized and God’s breathe is on them.  Trent with 3 (three) bullets in stable condition and Joseph with 11(eleven) in critical condition.  And all of this mayhem that NYC is in right now, its controversies, name calling, finger pointing, does not shelter anyone from it ever happening again.

A writer of the post made a good point that when leaders of the black community stand up for a spot on the stage, its usually in these tragic and unforgivable moments.  He claims that thats the only reason they’re standing up.  And he may be right.  By all means, the only time we do see Al Sharpton and other political parties jump to the fore front is moment described like this.  So what, they seem to grab the spotlight for these moments of time and everyone seems to be pulled towards their actions?  So what?  ph2006112800066.jpgI see these so called leaders standing up to what they think is injustice and I applaud them for it.  Where are our other leaders and representatives?  Are they too busy, or too important, to deal with matters such as this?   Is it such a delicate issue that one may smear their image? Well it might just be as its told.

ph2006112700327.jpg It may be true that the first card toss on the table in a situation like this will be race.  Some just don’t know to play any thing else but race, and thats not because its the cards they were dealt, but because its the only card they have in their hands.  Some are so pre-ordained on the playing field that you know as soon as they come to tha table, and the cards are dealth, its common knowledge to know what they have in their hand.  And I’m afraid of this issue because it masks the true identities of individuals.  A situation like this arrives and the race card is played and everything gets distorted.  Murderers becomes racist, politicians become referees, fingers gets pointed right and left, and we as brothers and sister begin to forget the real reasons why we stood up in the first place.

My perspective is that when a life is taken out like it never exsisted, whether it be a life of a president or that of a person with no relavance, we must look at ourselves and not each other.  We as human beings must start to take responsiblity for our own actions and not that of another man.  Of course the events leading up to this Sean’s tragic death could have been avoid had he and his friends decided to play bingo at a local community hall.  But seriously, its the young man’s bachelor party and he deserve what ever his friends had plan for the night.  We all know this was not part of the plan.

What I’m driving at is that the race card thing has expired.  Its taken its course and its time we open our eyes.  Its not a black man killing another black man, or the white man oppressing the black man.  Its not the hispanics and latinos working harder than the Italians or Muslims.  Its not the Christians being better than the jews, its none of that.  Not even close.  What matter to me is that, thats my brother and sisters of humanity out there.  We’re killing each other faster than any one of natures ill advise plans.  We’re able to take counter measures to forecast sickness, weather, and sometimes even death.  But what remains rampant is our own disrespect for each other lives.  And I’m afraid that this will be what ends us all.  The unforgivable act that stems back to the first days of the biblical era when Cain committed the first murder upon whom, his own brother.

Giving thanks

It was a day well spent and thanking God for what he has given and taken away for the last year.  A ritual that was well overdue.  It was a most fulfilling day and my best thanksgiving ever.

I spent most of the morning with my love, she wasn’t feeling well.  She basically spent the whole morning in bed.

An area she seems to be best suited for.  She was really sick, but by mid-day, she forced herself to get out of be and get rolling.

We baked a few pumpkin pies, actually she did, and after that we went towards our families for the feast.  First, Jo’s mom and then mine.  Both dinners was great and I was stuffed in more ways than one.  What was not eaten was taken home to be eaten at a later time.  So we have food for weeks.

But all in all, Thanksgiven was awsome and I just want to remind all you that, you don’t have to wait for thanksgiving every year.  Give thanks every day, every hour, at every moment.  Even thank God for the worst moments or those evenly bad days, you never know, the situation may be much worst.

Battles of the 1k liters

Supreme RyderzFree

Its been a hell of a season, riders pushing and pulling at each others ego.  Trying to put their point of view out there of which is the better machines.  The seasons over and still, nothing was said.  But, I do have some  insights on the new machines coming out for the 2007 and also some acknowledgements to my Fellow riders.

First off the spec for the 06’s are on the bottom of this post and hopefully much will change for the 07 models.  Lord know we like the new and improved toys.  My acknowledgments goes out to riders that I’ve riden with before and think they are the best qualified to run with me using the specific brand.  So follow along with me:

Jer-z; 06 Kawi-ZX10 reppin DaRockAllstarz in Far Rockaway put much needed control and focus in his riding.  He has improved over the past years, developing his corner tactics and speed control.  Well, lets be real, the corner tactics yes, he has no control over speed.  He’s like a bat out of hell.  But seriously, if I needed to run a Kawi ZX10, to see if I’m up to par, Jerz would be my man on da ZX10, everytime.

OG’s Teachings

November 4th, 2006

Supreme RyderzFree

Its once in a lifetime that you’ll find me listening to an older kat.  But this weekend changed a lot of my views of who and what older generations can offer.  Its funny, but you never like to sit there and let an OG tell you how its suppose to be done and when and where to do it.  Its like, they always have too much to say.  But that change this weekend when we decided to share our experience with an OG name Ali, a fellow Ryder and close friend of Jo and I.

See, Jo and I are still like newly weds,bs2006006.jpg we know how much we care about each other and the extremes we’ll take to protect that love.  And even by saying that, theres still much more to be learned about each other.  It just not easy at times.  Like every couple, married or not, we go through our quarrels and disagreements, its only natural.  But we always come to a point where we can see eye to eye.  A compromise of some sort.  I thought we were the only one going through this but an OG broke it down to me so clearly that it was like night and day.

Like many, love is never enough, and used in a wrong way can cause the greatest pains.  911 is a perfect example.  But love cannot make a decision, pay a bill, or save a relationship.  It always starts with  the individuals thats in love or just love each other.  The well gifted OG explained it all from caring and showing that you care, and loving and expressing that love.  He made it clear that foundations must be set to make anything work correctly, from a freindship to a marriage. I sat there feeding on his every word and it made me realize that there’s some things that I’m really not showing or expressing in my relationship to the one I love.  And its so with many, especially in the MC community.  Our lifestyles are fast and ever changing, but we must not forget who we are and who we care about.  Here are some ideas we spoke about;

  • Communication is the key to any relationship, make sure you tell him/her that your love will never change for them, day in and day out.
  • Kissing is a connection that says it all.  Make sure you give a kiss for every hour of the day.  Jo gets, at the least, 24 kisses a day.  Even a pec on the cheek, a kiss on the forehead to say good night, or a wet one to set the fire on blaze, kisses work.  Try it. Start with just 1.
  • Once committed, act committed.  That means doing everything in the confides and boundaries of a committment, not only to your relationship but to youself.  Marriage and the  foundation of family steers any one straight.
  • Be yourself and respectful to him/her.  Remember you love this person and this is what they see in their own eyes.
  • Last and not least, I like this one cause its true.  Be Free.  Free to explore the realm of each others company.  Try something new each day that you believe might bring a smile to his/her face.

It was a pleasure talking with OG Ali.  He was truly informative and sincere in his words.  If you guys are having any problems concerning your relationships and its struggles, don’ keep it inside.  Share, and you’ll find that yours is not the only one that has its ups and downs, and maybe, just maybe, we can seek a solution together.  Much love to all, Be Free or die trying.
